24 abril strategy mistakeThere is one more lecture left for Oleg's class. Today we finished the last quiz. I did rather badly in all four quizes  . The class is difficult, but that's not the whole problem. I made a strategy mistake~~~. Actually, his homework and quiz are hard, but the good thing is he posted all the problems and answer keys for the last year's assignment on line. This year's problem is almost the same as previous one ! And the bad thing is I never read them until all are finished :-( It's always too late!!! crying....23 abril changei am planning to change my daily life a little bit. That is :
go to bed not too late , get up earlier.
Keep away from the computer when studying. (using the dinner-table instead)
spend more time in front of the computer when at school.(restrict to qianshui)
18 abril 不行了要交的paper(不是发文章的paper),昨晚憋了一晚写出来1页, 今天做到现在写了1.5页, 星期天下午写了3页, 总计6页不到, 规定至少10页, due to 星期5. 能不能完成啊, 我怀疑... 想以前马马虎虎, 同样的东西一个小时就能搞定, 网上随便 down一下就可以了, 反正也没人看,现在不行啊... 哦, 好饿啊! 谁来救救我! 17 abril ... 实验室的美国人从昨天开始很沮丧, 因为VT的枪击事件, 那是他的母校, 还说他以前就住在那个宿舍楼里. 今天,大家又讨论起这个, 关于那个亚裔的抢手. 然后他就一口气说了很多: 我们要不要也去那里shoot一下, 亚洲人滚回你们的国家去...(大概就是这样). 然后我严肃的问了一句: are you serious? 他说: 不是的, 他在joking. 吃完午饭, 专门叫住我跟我道歉,说他刚刚不应该那么说, 他是太气愤了, et al. 我知道他也算是比较有脑子的人, 平时对我们也很好,可是一个盹也不打的讲出那么几句,还真是伤感情, 姑且认为他是无心的,谁让我们现在是在别人的家呢! 12 abril 杂食动物 断油了, 有菜也没法做, 于是在宿舍随便翻,找可以吃的. 让我想一下今晚吃了多少东西~
先找到一盒切片猪肉干(沈娟从新加坡带来的,据说在那有名), 打开一包, 咬了一口, 边看说明, 哇塞,要微波转1分钟才行, 可惜第一口已经吞下去了~也没吃出啥味道, 简直是野蛮人,明天不会sick吧.
随即发现还有上次剩下的10个水饺, 赶忙拿来转了吃了~平时不太爱吃的东西,今天就这么狼吞虎咽全部下去了.
继续觅食, 还有N久之前买的其甜无比的pie, 热一下, 终于这个没能吃完,扔了半个. 此时还在煮着粥...
粥煮好了,怎么也得吃点啊, 于是一只鸭蛋, 一瓶酱菜, 一碗粥...
乱七八糟的东西不会在胃里打架吧? 明天吃什么呢? 我也太没追求了...
08 abril a bit tired 周末过得好累,不过挺开心.
本周的大事之一 沈娟同学不远万里来看我啦,虽然只有短短的两天. 感觉没有尽到地主之宜, 有一顿晚饭还是她做给我吃的....见到多年不见的老同学,自然是开心. 可惜就只带她 visit了harvard, MIT, downtown boston, 从downtown回家还是一路问回来的....那天不知怎么了,就一个死脑筋想走回north station, 不想坐地铁(难道是想省两块钱? 可能是吧~~), 4月的boston,依然是很冷很冷哪,尤其是晚上...
送走同学(还不是我送的,sorry!),就去run NMR了, 一直到晚上11点...然后就被接走去easter party. thank Deborha, Mason, sylvain,竟然在10:30, 我不知情的情况下跑到NMR室来等我, 陪我到11点才吃晚饭, 当时是那个感动啊! 不过我就只能rush实验了, 匆匆收工~~
今天一个大清早又得起床, 又是easter party. Althony把我们带到了他父母加家, 很温馨的一个大家庭, 又是很多吃的...这两天吃撑了...还有礼物~~
现在好困~
07 abril 土人 土人,新加坡的同学来玩, 一同去逛街, 竟然是她领着我在化妆品柜台转, 告诉我要买这个,那个, 先涂A, 再涂B, 再涂C....搞得每个柜台几乎都呆过,试过, 最后我自己挺不好意思. 还是收获不小,怎么也听进去,学会了点东西, 土人也爱美啊!
土人似乎挺无聊, 不够八卦啊, 问起什么来都不知道, 最后MSN上爱八卦的CUICUI说: 拿你这个....也没办法!
唉, 土人真的缺少了点什么....
06 abril 忒搞了I sent an email to all the graduate students and postdocs in my department. The following is an email from the NMR technician who is also an editor of the lists.
I am going to reject your messages. I am always getting something wrong in my own so I try to check on other people. I don't think you want to "sigh" up. You need to read it carefully and try again. Sara Hello all, I am wondering if I can sigh up on this Saturday from 4pm to 10pm for my VT NMR. I donot want you guys to feel upset. So if you do have to run NMR during that time, would you email me back? Thanks. Yanjun 01 abril April 1 Today, 04/01/07 is a foolish girl's birthday according to chinese lunar calendar. The girl was deeply moved for her received severl birthday wishes from her friends, labmates, parents and cousins, although she didnot mention it to them before, although they are far far away from her. How lucky she is to live in a world with love and consideration around her! |
